| Was shot in the right hip during the Civil War on April 2 or 3, 1865 at
                                  Petersburgh, Va. , injured his right sciatic nerve, causing partial paralysis - he was discharged from the
                                  service for this reason. 
 Per his "Army of the United States, Certificate of Disability for Discharge" he had black hair,
                                  blue eyes, was fair complected and was 6'0" tall. And in the "General Affidavit" they
                                  declared him "not overly bright" but competent to manage his own affairs (dated 12/2/1903).
 
 Note, the United States Pension Agency stated that Abram died July 6, 1904 and they dropped him from their
                                  pension list on July 19, 1904.
 
 He was the son of Isaac McKinney (1810-1870) and Susan
                                  Litwiler (1812-1900).
 Abram McKinney was born in 1839 in  Linesville, Crawford County, PA.  He
                                  died July 12, 1904 in Erie, Erie County, PA, and is buried in  Linesville Cemetery, Linesville Borough,
                                  Crawford County, PA.
